Among the treatments offered at Rosewood Cosmetic Clinic, Lipo dissolve (fat jabs) and Mesotherapy are extremely popular and each procedure provides a different approach to the treatment of fat and cellulite reduction.
They are entirely separate treatments; Lipo dissolve, used in the treatment of reducing fat deposits and cellulite, involves injections directly into the fat. Mesotherapy, also used to treat cellulite and to dissolve fat, involves injections into the skin which requires a lesser depth of injection.
Fat Dissolving Treatments (Fat Jabs/Lipo Dissolve)
While fat reducing injections should not be considered an alternative to correct diet and exercise to achieve weight loss, there are occasions when fatty deposits are impossible to shift.
Dr Franz Hasengschwandtner, director of medical advisory board Network Lipolysis, pioneered the use of a soya based compound that, when injected into fat deposits under the skin, encourages the metabolism to break down and dissolve the fat, which is then eliminated from the body. It is also successfully used in the treatment of cellulite.
Multiple injections are applied to each area directly into the fat. Although between one and four treatments are required to each area at two monthly intervals, most patients only need two or three treatments. There is a short recovery period following treatments and slight discomfort is common. Results are invariably apparent within two months.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy was originally devised to combat conditions such as circulatory and vascular problems, sport traumas and rheumatics. During the course of treatments it was discovered that Mesotherapy stimulated the mesoderm – the middle layer of skin – which enabled disbursement of cellulite and the dissolving of fat. Cellulite is a fatty deposit underneath the skin that gives a lumpy appearance to the skin surface. It is most apparent on the buttocks and thighs. Fat deposits can appear anywhere on the body, from the face, neck and shoulders, down the body to the buttocks and legs.
Mesotherapy treatment for fatty deposits and cellulite consists of small amounts of homeopathic medicine injected into the affected area of skin. This helps to break down the cellulite and improve circulation.
An initial consultation will determine how many treatments will be required, and the procedure will be explained in depth.
Mesotherapy treatments take about ten minutes, allowing the day to continue without the need for an extended recovery period.
